His Majesty The King’s Development Project on Integrated Agriculture according to the New Theory in Ban Than Phut

His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great granted the area of 32 rai, 3 ngan, 66 wa square of Ban Than Phut to Khao Hin Son Royal Development Study Center, Ban Song Subdistrict, Phanom Sarakham District, Chachoengsao Province. It is aimed for the use in expanding the center’s performance to reach farmers. The condition of this area is originally a rainwater field. There is a flood in the rainy season and a lack of water in the dry season. The soil condition is sandy loam. In 1989, the center took action to adjust the area according to the royal initiative on water resources and the new theory by using the proportion of 30:20:30:20 defining an area of water resources and fish farming: a white rice field: a mixed planting area: a house, a road, and an embankment. Additionally, there is a forestation project based on land suitability by using 3 methods of tree planting that come with 4 benefits according to the royal initiative. Ultimately, this place will serve as a case study for others to study and adapt to maximize the performance of the new theory according to the royal initiative.
