Project in honor of “Her Royal Highness’s 60th Birthday Anniversary, 60 Villages, 6 Education Centers for Developing People, Reforesting, and Improving Quality of Life”

          As regards the 60th Birthday Anniversary of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn on April 2, 2015, the Office of the Royal Development Projects Board (ORDPB) cooperated with Royal Study Center to launch Project in honor of “Her Royal Highness’s 60th Birthday, 60 Villages, 6 Education Centers for Developing People, Reforesting, and Improving Quality of Life” to honor Her Royal Highness for her unwavering dedication to royal duties since her childhood. With her diligence, it flourishes people and country due to her works especially for improving the quality of life of people. She inherited the development principles and working styles of King Rama IX and the Queen Mother as her main working approach by emphasizing children and youths in terms of health, sanitation, education, occupation, and environment. It is because they are essential resources for the nation in the future. To develop further to the scale of people and communities according to the royal initiatives of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, she spoke to the entourage that developing people was greater than the building of whatsoever facilities….

          Therefore, the aforementioned project in honor of Her Royal Highness has kicked off activities to expand the knowledge of six royal-Initiated development study centers to youth and people in 60 villages to create another royal learning center. It aims to continuously develop the economy, society, and environment resulting in the good living condition of communities sustainably and long lastingly.

Objectives

  1. In honor of the 5th cycle birthday of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn on April 2,
  2. Disseminate and publicize the development of quality of life according to the royal initiative.
  3. Promote knowledge and extensively develop the quality of life according to the royal initiative to youths and farmers participating in the project.
  4. Restore the environment and encourage participation in communal reforestation according to the royal initiative.

Goal
To transfer knowledge of agriculture to farmers in Chachoengsao Province, Prachinburi Province Nakhon Nayok Province, and Sa Kaeo Province, in a total of 15 villages, namely

Quality of Life Improving Operations
1. Transfer knowledge in the curriculum that farmers can apply in their occupation and reduce household expenses. In doing so, farmers must be trained at the center but the center officers have to go to a village for training in some courses. The courses can be as follows.
– Compost production, bio-fermented water, and pesticides.
– Production of household products.
– Jasmine rice 105 cultivation in a sustainable agricultural system
– Raising Khao Hin Son egg laying chicken breeds.
– Comprehensive economic mushroom cultivation.
– Off-season lime cultivation in cement pond circle.
– Herb production and processing
– Agricultural products processing.
2. Visit farmers’ houses in the target village to monitor progress and solve problems during the implementation of the project.
